Summer beach wedding in Chania with olive wreath | Laura & Heikki

On the shores of Chania, where the blue of the sea meets the silver of the olive tree, Laura and Heikki chose a relaxed summer ceremony with their closest loved ones. The garden of a private villa right on the beach became the setting for a destination wedding in Crete that smelled of sea and wind. The path to the ceremony site ran between white chairs and small bundles of olive, while the bride’s father led her to the wooden arch.

The style was clean and unpretentious, ideal for a beach wedding. The arch was dressed with white fabrics and olive greenery, with white roses and lisianthus adding discreet finesse. Laura wore an airy, sheer wedding dress with botanical embroidery and an olive wreath in her hair· her bouquet, all in white hues with olive leaves, harmonized beautifully with the landscape. Heikki appeared in a sand-hued linen suit and vest, light enough for the Cretan sun.

The ceremony was deeply personal, with an exchange of vows that moved everyone and a guitarist accompanying the quieter moments live.
